Correction
We desire to apologise for the insertion in our issue
of 28th November, 1914, of an erroneous report of application for
transfer of the Swan Inn, Folkestone, in which we wrongly stated that “the
Bench decided that Mr. Butler (the applicant) was not a suitable person”.
We desire to state that the application was withdrawn
by the holder of the licence, and the question of Mr. Butler`s fitness did not
arise before the Justices.
