Express 21-8-1915
Wednesday, August 18th: Before Lieut. Col.
Fynmore, Alderman Jenner, G.I. Swoffer, R.J. Linton, G. Boyd and H.C. Kirke
Esqs.
Mr. A.R. Bowles presented plans for alterations at the
Rose Hotel. He stated that at the licensing meeting in February plans were
deposited for proposed alterations, and they were passed by the justices.
Nothing had, however, been done, although a tender was accepted, but the
builder refused to sign the contract because of the difficulty of transport.
Those plans had now been amended, and the essential points of the schme had
been included in them. The drainage was to be carried out in full.
The amended plans were approved.
