We regret to announce that Mr. Richard White, formerly
proprietor of the Martello Hotel, died on Sunday morning, after a protracted
illness, aged 75.

The licence of the Martello Hotel, Dover Road, was transferred from Mrs. White to Mr. Taylor.

G.I. Swoffer, R.J. Linton, G. Boyd, and E.T. Morrison esqs.
An application was made for the transfer of the licence
of the Martello Hotel from Mr. Taylor to Mr. Bridges, of the White Horse Inn.
The Chief Constable said he had no objection, and the
application was granted.

Application was made for the temporary transfer of the
licence of the Martello Hotel, Dover Road, from Mr. Taylor to Mr. Bridges,
landlord of the White Horse Inn, Hawkinge.
The Chief Constable said Mr. Taylor had been the tenant
of the Martello Hotel for 16 months, and Mr. Bridges had tenanted the White
Horse Inn, near Folkestone, for 23 years.
The application was granted.
